How to Stop Attacking Yourself: 9 Steps to Heal Autoimmune Disease.

Inflammation is a “hot” topic in medicine.

It appears connected to almost every known chronic disease—from heart disease to cancer, diabetes to obesity, autism to dementia, and even depression.

Other inflammatory diseases such as allergies, asthma, arthritis, and autoimmune disease are increasing at dramatic rates. As physicians we are trained to shut off inflammation with aspirin, anti-inflammatory medication such as Advil or Motrin, steroids, and increasingly more powerful immune suppressing medication with serious side effects.

But we are not trained to find and treat the underlying causes of inflammation in chronic disease. Hidden allergens, infections, environmental toxins, an inflammatory diet, and stress are the real causes of these inflammatory conditions. Continue reading

The New “Great Imitator” Disease That’s Sweeping Across the US

Lyme Disease on the Rise As Tick Epidemic Spreads Across the US

  • Diagnosing Lyme disease is notoriously difficult. In many cases, you need to be treated before a proper diagnosis can be made.

Vitamin D Deficiency Linked to Neurological Diseases (e.g. MS, Parkinsons); and Also Raises Risk of Asthma Attacks, and More..

If there’s ever was a Top Nutrient competition, vitamin D just might nab the title. It affects your DNA through vitamin D receptors (VDRs) that bind to specific locations on the human genome.

So far, scientists have identified nearly 3,000 genes that are influenced by vitamin D status, and a robust and growing body of research clearly shows that vitamin D is critical for optimal health and disease prevention.

This includes some of the more difficult-to-treat conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease,1 Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis2 (MS).

Do Antibiotics Contribute to Mercury Poisoning?

Posted By ANH-USA

Scientists are no longer even sure how antibiotics work.

According to Dr. David Williams, antibiotics may prevent the body from excreting mercury, which is found in fish and in many vaccines. This was documented in a study  by Boyd Haley, PhD, from the University of Connecticut Medical Center. Mercury is highly toxic. In animals studies, researchers can mimic the exact same physiological changes to the brain along with the signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease by simply adding mercury to the system. Increased exposure to sunlight may help alleviate the depression and fatigue associated with multiple sclerosis (MS), and may even reduce the overall level of disability caused by the disease, research suggests.  Prior research has linked both vitamin D deficiency and lower levels of unprotected sun exposure to a higher risk of developing MS. Likewise, other studies have linked lower vitamin D levels to higher rates of depression. Continue reading

How Inflammation Affects Every Aspect of Your Health

Dr. David M. Marquis, DC, DACBN

Inflammation controls our lives. Have you or a loved one dealt with pain, obesity, ADD/ADHD, peripheral neuropathy, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, migraines, thyroid issues, dental issues, or cancer?
