Safe and Effective Natural Remedy for the Flu: Over the Counter Hydrogen Peroxide
by Paul Fassa
Early in January 2018, a 69 year old Health Impact News reader emailed us with a natural tip on how to beat the common cold and flu effectively and safely. He wrote that he has avoided cold and flu episodes for a dozen years, while avoiding flu shots, using what some would call a flu-hack because it is unique and easy to administer.
He would grab a dropper full of over-the-counter (OTC) hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and place a few drops into his slightly aching left ear, (where he receives his first early warning). He would let it “fizz” until it stopped and then be free from the worry of being bedridden for a few days, all the while avoiding a potentially greater threat than the flu, the flu-shot. (NaturalNews) Throughout history, honey has played an important role in cultures around the world not only as a food, but also as a medicine. And manuka honey in particular, which is derived from the nectar collected by honey bees that forage the manuka bushes (Leptospermum scoparium) of New Zealand, contains unique antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiseptic, stomach-healing, wound-repairing, and overall health-promoting properties that make it an amazing “superfood” worthy of further investigation. (NaturalNews) Jerome, a 53-year-old high school teacher, was in the hospital awaiting amputation of his left leg. He’d been receiving IV antibiotics to treat a diabetic ulcer, a wide, oozing open wound on his ankle, but this didn’t halt the steady advance of gangrene, and he was told they had no choice but to take his leg.
About five hours before he was scheduled for surgery, Jerome talked to the teacher who was substituting for him to tell him he’d probably be out for the rest of the year. The substitute had heard about the Whitaker Wellness Institute and the work we do here, so he suggested that Jerome check us out. Jerome immediately phoned his wife, who called the clinic and asked if there was anything we could do to save his leg. I said we would certainly try. Figuring he had nothing to lose, Jerome left the hospital-against strongly worded medical advice-and came to my clinic that same day.
“I Wouldn’t Be Walking Today”
We immediately started Jerome on two therapies. First, he began a course of EDTA chelation, an IV treatment that improves circulation. Second, we dressed his ulcer with sugar. That’s right, white table sugar. We simply poured sugar into the wound, wrapped it up, and changed the dressing regularly. Within days he noticed a difference. Continue reading
Hydrogen Peroxide in the Ears for the Flu and Colds?
Although it would appear to contradict what we are taught about the flu and colds, many people have tried hydrogen peroxyde in the ears with great success. Hydrogen peroxide works quite well and is supposed to be effective about 4 times out of 5, especially if done when the symptoms first appear.
In 1928, Dr. Richard Simmons, hypothesized that colds and flu virus enter our bodies through the ear canal. It was Dr. Simmons’ hypothesis that, contrary to what we have been taught, we usually can catch the two via the ear canal and not through the eyes or nose or mouth as most of us believe. Dr. Simmons’ findings were dismissed by the medical community. Continue reading
