MEDICAL MASSAGE WORKSHOP

Techniques and Learning Strategies

Leif Grunseth, LMP, ATC, CNMT

January 28-29, 2012

Medical Massage: Techniques and Learning Strategies No matter what your skill level or style, learn unique techniques for low back pain, sciatica, shoulder/neck injuries, headaches, PMS, and more. By addressing the core/pelvis first, the additional short protocol treatments you’ll learn can then attain the highest levels of pain relief in the least amount of time; and these are easily integrated into fluid and effective routines. Learn thorough, yet uncomplicated approaches to long-term pain relief and build your practice due to successful results; and enjoy a unique refresher of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics throughout the weekend.

Deepen your understanding and experience of medical massage and its importance in the massage industry. This is a comprehensive approach to clinical applications made easy and designed to prepare therapists to become more effective and confident in their treatment options/outcomes.  These skills create immediate and lasting results through integration of myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, Russian Therapy, somatic movement re-education, and joint mobilization techniques.  Enhance palpatory skills and experience the importance of proper structure and movement in regaining and maintaining optimal health. AMTA and NCBTMB  - 16 CEU’s.

·         Optimum posture and correct biomechanical movement patterns for your patients;

·         The preparation and techniques of soft tissue rehabilitation;
