Remarkable Chinese Herbal “Burn” Ointment
Cure almost any burn. No scarring. No skin grafting.
As this issue is concerned with preventing skin cancer, tanning better, and lasting longer in the sun before we need to apply sunscreen or take cover, I’ve included this letter, received by Nutrition & Healing in 1999, about treatment of a severe electrical burn. What’s that have to do with spending the summer in the sun? This treatment actually works for nearly any burn, including sunburn, scalding hot water, cooking burns, chemical burns, burns from campfires and other fires…in fact, any burn except for a “full thickness burn” requiring hospitalization and skin grafting. Even now, over ten years later, I’ve still never seen anything achieve results in healing burns like this natural, beeswax- and bee-product-based ointment called Whole Skin Ointment. Here’s the letter:
Dr. Wright:
Several months ago, we contacted you concerning a close friend who had suffered a full thickness burn over a large area on his buttocks and upper thighs from falling asleep while sitting on an electric blanket. We were very concerned about how the skin was going to be able to heal over this large denuded area down to the subcutaneous fat…and whether he was going to need skin grafts. We wondered too where adequate amounts of skin for grafting could be found for such a large burned area.
We had been providing him with antibiotics to prevent infection through this large portal, but decided we had better seek a physician’s advice. You advised us to…use a [Chinese herbal] preparation that would aid skin regrowth over the burn.
We just wanted to let you know that the preparation worked perfectly! We were amazed, never having seen anything like this before. Over a period of a few months, the entire thickness of skin regrew from the edges in, finally covering the burned out area completely with entirely normal skin and almost no scarring. The result is much better than skin grafting (even if enough normal skin had been found to do the grafts) and at a far lower cost…

The Chinese herbal preparation is Whole Skin Ointment, distributed in the USA by Chi Enterprises. It’s extensively used in China for burns. I’m not affiliated in any way with the manufacturers or distributors of Whole Skin Ointment, but I am of course affiliated with the Tahoma Clinic Dispensary (1-888-893-6878, www.tahomadispensary.com). It’s also sold in many natural food stores and compounding pharmacies. Keep some on hand-it has a long shelf life, and you never know when you might need it. JVW
