Another SSKI Miracle - With Hemorroids

Posted in Folk Remedies, Hemorroids, Iodine/Iodide  by admin

Q:  Someone recently told me to try using iodine for help with hemorrhoids. It sounds odd to me, but I’m desperate and willing to try.  Can you tell me how it works exactly?

Dr. Wright: Iodine is an amazing substance.  My family and I have used it for years to relieve a wide variety of both internal and external conditions.  The form of iodine I often recommend is called SSKI, which stands for saturated solution of potassium iodide.

SSKI does indeed work wonders with hemorrhoids.  It can be used alone, but I wouldn’t advise it.  Patients often report a burning sensation on application.  But that side effect is alleviated by combining the SSKI with flaxseed oil.  Simply mix 20 drops of SSKI with 1 ounce of flaxseed oil and apply the solution directly to the affected area at bedtime. Keep applying until they disappear.

Keep in mind that iodine and SSKI do stain skin temporarily and clothing permanently, so make sure you wear something old when using it and handle with care.  Look for SSKI in natural food stores or compounding pharmacies.

One day I read about garlic and I thought I might as well try this as well…. Never looked back. Never had another problem. Ever. Just use a garlic clove as a suppository. Pointed side up. You may coat it in oil first. Replace it every time you use the toilet. Within 24 hours you will see the difference. It is amazing.”

I have gone to the emergency room and I have gotten so many medications and creams I can’t even remember them all. Today at work I was about to quit my job because the pain that I was feeling was unbearable. My friend found this website and told me to go to the store and buy the ACV and to try it out. I rushed to the store and I applied to a cotton ball for like 10 sec. I did this 3 times. In about 2 hours I was able to sit at my desk and go on about my day. I am amazed at how this simply thing took my pain away. This is WONDERFUL!!!!!”

“Treatment: Tear one sheet of toilet paper off the roll. Fold it in half and then half again into a small square.

Open the bottle of caster oil and set on a stable surface. Unfold the toilet paper to half open. Hold the paper on the top of the open bottle and hold them together and tip the bottle on to the paper so you can carefully pour about 1/4 tsp on to the paper. (be careful not to get on your clothes or carpet as it can stain)

Apply the paper directly to the hemmorrhoid, between your bums. Pull up your pants and go about your business.

The next time you sit on the toilet the paper should fall out in to the toilet, or take it out yourself. If the hemmorrhoid is not gone with the first treatment, repeat until it is. I have had results as fast as twenty minutes!

My 83 year young mother recently had a hip replacement. After a few days she told me she had hemmorrhoids. I said I have a treatment for that, why didn’t you tell me? I did the above and handed her the paper that she applied to the hemmorrhoid while laying in bed. Her next trip to the toilet she said it was all gone! The next day I asked her if she needed another treatment and she said it never came back and she was so surprised.”

Dr. Wright: As you’ve discovered, there are plenty of options for people with hemorrhoids — over-the-counter creams, pads, and ointments, those inflatable “donuts” to sit on, and, of course, surgery. Unfortunately, the less drastic ones aren’t very effective, and the more drastic are just that — drastic.
